| Granite Mountain Ranch proudly presents: YADDA POODLES |
| My initial interest in poodles began more than a decade ago and resulted in my obtaining a wonderful and incredibly talented standard poodle named Vic (Lady Victoria of Marsan). Vic's story is well known throughout the poodle world, so I'll give a brief summary. Although originally intended to be my daughters dog, Vic quickly made it known that she was not only up to meeting the demands of all of the family members (boating, retrieving, sled pulling to name a few), but that she also needed a job to do. Vic introduced me to the world of K9 scent work and Search and Rescue work. Later, I chose the best stud dog I could find and Vic presented me with a wonderful litter of 11 pups and I received an introduction into things such as Early Neurological Stimulation, socialization and temperament evaluations. Sometime after that, Vic introduced me to heartbreak when she was diagnosed first with Epilepsy and later with Addison's disease. I became very involved in pedigree tracking of health issues in Standard Poodles. Each of my puppies is special to me and comes with a contract that must be signed prior to close of purchase to protect the wellbeing of the pup as well as avoiding any potential mis-communications between myself and the pup's owner. I do not believe in "disposable dogs"; and am looking only for owners who are willing to make a lifetime commitment to their pup. That being said, if for any reason, life circumstances change and one of my puppy owners can't keep their dog, I require that the pup (or adult dog as the case may be) is returned to me. |
